This is a new project I am currently working on.The colour of Dorothy's shoes is not one of my favourites but it is of my client. This is the start. Can you guess what it will be? I am interested in shape and floral decorations are one of my fascinations.Simple daisy but not. I would like to see this design in light aluminium constructed in a 3D image, and possibly planted in a park where it originally came from.I would like to see it weathered by rain and other environmental elements to produce a natural piece of work. What are your thoughts? Design is fast and slow. Ideas can spring into your mind and as you work through the process the challenges soon emerge because however well you have planned you will most certainly thrown by unforeseen events that demand more time and change. Something to think about if you just getting started.

First post

Hi my name is Sohaniee, and I am a textile/ packaging/craft/ metal designer with a difference. I create projects for a range of events that I will share with you. I like things that are "out of the box" and this inspires me to make objects that are either form interior decorations or specific gifts. I record all the  projects I am working on and I would like to share my musings with you. I am influenced by nature, music colour, texture or whatever I have randomly experienced. I feel design come from personal experiences and new experiences. I hope that you can take away from my posts ideas that you will use yourself. Everyone needs a little inspiration, but also that you will constructively put design in your life and personalize the way you live. There are no right or wrong way of using my ideas, it is all about sharing , reusing and creating objects that are exciting and rewarding to possess.
I now give you my first bit of poetry which I feel sums up the human condition of not being aware of what beauty is surrounding us and how  we need to use our visual ability to appreciate lifes wonders. " What is this life if full of care- W.H. Davies. Read it and maybe you might start to see whats out there.
